New Apprenticeship for PMA for Mechanics
Need Maintenance Mechanics?  Upgrade the skills of your current employees with the Millwright Apprenticeship.  Recently approved by the Dept of Education, PSC & PMA worked together to develop specific training to meet the needs of Polk County manufacturers. This training program is currently being used by the county’s largest manufacturers and through PMA you can take advantage of grants and scholarships to send your employees. BANNER Manufacturing Essentials/Fundamentals Certification Class

Provides recently hired employees or individuals with limited manufacturing experience knowledge and skill sets in Safety,Production, Maintenance and Quality that result in a Certificated Production Technician designation from the MSSC. This certification provides the foundation needed for entry-level manufacturing positions.Some classes are Grant funded – no cost to you.
Limited to 15 participants per class.
80 Hours (Essentials) or 120 Hours (Fundamentals)

Banner CPT Instructor Class
The Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) Certified Production Technician (CPT) designation is fast becoming THE industry standard for manufacturing companies, power generation facilities and other industry settings where knowledge of safety, manufacturing, quality and production processes is vital to survival and success. This two-day class prepares educators, shop foremen, supervisors, HR and plant personnel to deliver the Banner Center Essentials and Fundamentals curriculum and administer the MSSC battery of four tests leading to the CPT certification.
